Job Tasks
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting personalized treatment strategies
Administer effective physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
Work in synergy with nurses, physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation experts to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, discharge protocols, and home exercise routines
Record evaluations, treatments, and progress according to facility standards and regulatory requirements
Engage in proactive care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to facilitate comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Certification Requirements
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Specialty certifications (e.g., in neurology, geriatrics) are appreciated but not mandatory
Desired Skills
Prior experience is highly desirable
