Description
Assess patients in various settings, either inpatient or outpatient, crafting tailored treatment strategies
Execute physical therapy techniques emphasizing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes
Instruct patients and families on therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and home-based exercise regimens
Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility standards
Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive and effective patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification preferred
Any specialized certifications (like neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not obligatory
Skills
Significant prior experience is preferred
Capabilities to address patients with complex medical and mobility challenges
