Job Description
Conduct patient evaluations in either an inpatient or outpatient context and formulate tailored treatment strategies
Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes
Guide patients and families through therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and recommended home exercises
Maintain accurate documentation regarding evaluations, treatments, and progress per facility and regulatory standards
Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to ensure a synchronized approach to care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable qualification from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Specialized certifications in areas such as neurological or geriatric care are advantageous, but not mandatory
Skills
Previous experience is strongly preferred
Ability to address complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with digital charting and clinical documentation systems
