Description
Conduct assessments for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, crafting tailored treatment plans
Implement physical therapy interventions to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Work collaboratively with healthcare colleagues including nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation specialists to achieve optimal recovery outcomes
Guide patients and their families in understanding therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and recommended home exercises
Document patient evaluations and treatments, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory requirements
Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to guarantee smooth and coordinated patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a similar degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous but not required
Skills
Prior relevant experience is highly preferred
Competence in treating patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Proficiency with digital documentation and clinical record-keeping
