Description
Conduct evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, crafting tailored treatment plans to meet individual needs
Implement personalized physical therapy interventions emphasizing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functioning
Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and a diverse rehabilitation team to enhance patient outcomes
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and exercises for home practice
Ensure meticulous documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress, adhering to both facility protocols and regulatory standards
Take part in team rounds and interdisciplinary discussions to facilitate cohesive patient care
Education
A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited education program
Certifications
Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida
Preferred CPR certification
Specialized certifications (such as in geriatrics or neurology) are welcomed but not mandatory
Skills
Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred
Capability to manage patients with intricate medical conditions and mobility challenges
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Familiarity with digital charting and clinical documentation systems is key
