Description
Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient settings and develop tailored treatment plans
Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and everyday function
Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary rehab teams to enhance patient outcomes
Guide patients and families on therapy goals, discharge processes, and at-home exercises
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in accordance with facility guidelines
Engage in collaborative team rounds and case discussions to ensure seamless care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification preferred
Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
Prior experience in physical therapy is highly preferred
Proficient in addressing complex medical and mobility challenges
Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with digital documentation and clinical record-keeping systems
