Description
Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and formulate tailored treatment approaches
Implement physical therapy techniques focused on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to maximize patient outcomes
Inform patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and home-based exercises
Maintain precise documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility and regulatory requirements
Engage in interdisciplinary team discussions to ensure seamless patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institute
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Specialized certifications such as neurological and geriatric therapy are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
Prior experience is highly valued
Capability to address patients with complex medical and mobility challenges
