Job description
DPT / Physical Therapist
Imagine waking up to the sound of crashing waves and a warm California sun greeting you each day as you step into your role as a Physical Therapist. In this vibrant coastal city of Long Beach, California, you're not just stepping into a job — you're embarking on a rewarding journey of healing and restoration that transforms lives. In this role, your daily efforts hold the power to help someone reclaim their first steps after surgery, regain their independence post-stroke, or even restore their voice following an illness. As a Physical Therapist here, you're not merely facilitating healing; you are a beacon of dignity, strength, and hope during some of life's most delicate moments. We're excited to welcome a compassionate and talented Physical Therapist to our extraordinary team in Long Beach — a locale where professional satisfaction synchronizes seamlessly with a colorful, fulfilling lifestyle that's hard to beat. Here in this bustling coastal haven, clinical excellence is nurtured within a warm, community-oriented environment that inspires those around you to thrive. If you're in a place where you're ready to create a lasting impact in the lives of others while enjoying the sun-kissed beauty of your surroundings, this is your moment to shine. As we delve deeper into this position, your responsibilities will span a spectrum of rewarding tasks. Evaluating patients, whether in an inpatient or outpatient setting, and crafting individualized treatment plans will be at the forefront of your role. You'll employ physical therapy interventions aimed at boosting mobility, enhancing strength, improving balance, and restoring overall function. You'll work elbow-to-elbow with a dynamic group of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehab experts, ensuring an optimal outcome for every patient you encounter. Educating patients and their families about therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and important home exercises will also form a vital component of your contributions to their journey. Documenting evaluations and treatment progress in alignment with facility and regulatory standards will be expected, along with participation in interdisciplinary conferences to guarantee collaborative care. To elevate your impact further, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited program is required. State licensure as a Physical Therapist is also a must, with additional CPR certification being a valued bonus. Specialized certifications, including neurology or geriatrics, will certainly enhance your profile but are welcome rather than essential. Experience in the field is highly preferred, as is the ability to address patients with a variety of complex medical and mobility challenges. You're a strong communicator and an exceptional team player, comfortable navigating digital charting and clinical documentation systems. Your commitment deserves to be rewarded, and we offer a competitive compensation package designed to reflect that. Experience comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with opportunities for continuing education and licensure reimbursement. You'll enjoy paid time off and flexible scheduling options, contributing to a supportive team culture and potential for clinical advancement as you grow with us. In this role, every day will be unique, and every patient interaction holds significance. You'll serve as a trusted guide as patients embark on their journeys of recovery, whether that means helping someone regain balance after surgery or encouraging them as they navigate the challenging yet rewarding path of rehabilitation after a stroke. This hands-on, heartfelt work blends your clinical expertise with empathy and understanding, allowing you to have a profound impact on the lives of those you care for. You are more than qualifications on paper; you recognize that movement is a vital component of healing, that kindness bears the power to uplift the human spirit, and that progress manifests in many forms — from taking the first brave steps to celebrating newfound independence. We're eager to find a Physical Therapist who possesses clinical expertise, emotional insight, and the ability to flourish in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting. Whether you're new to the profession or bring a wealth of experience, if you value evidence-based practice, collaboration, and genuine human connection, we would love to connect with you. This position is more than just a job; it's a calling where your knowledge resonates with purpose, and your presence creates waves of change. As a Physical Therapist in Long Beach, California, you will find yourself embraced by a team of dedicated clinicians, immersed in a vibrant work culture, and uplifted by a city that invigorates your daily life. Join us in this rewarding career where you'll not only help others find their strength but also propel your own growth in a supportive environment. We're excited to accompany you on this transformative journey — both for your patients and for yourself.
