Description

Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in inpatient or outpatient settings and craft personalized treatment plans to foster recovery.

Implement physical therapy interventions designed to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall function.

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Educate patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and essential home exercises.

Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress, adhering to facility and regulatory protocols.

Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to maintain cohesive and coordinated care for all patients.

Education

Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

Certifications

State licensure required for Physical Therapists.

CPR certification is preferred.

Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills

A strong preference for previous experience in a clinical setting.

Capability to treat patients facing complex medical and mobility challenges.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Comfort with digital charting and clinical documentation systems.
