Offering tailored civil construction services to all, SERB is proud of its reputation of providing excellent customer satisfaction.Job Summary: The selected candidate would operate top hammer drill rigs and drilling equipment including John Henry and GPS equipped drills on our Cooper Landing project ranging from highway right of way cuts, to quarries, to bolting and dowel work.Key Responsibilities:Operate GPS equipped Sandvik DX800 and DX900 top hammer drills for highway right of way, quarry, and rock bolting/dowel projectsOperate John Henry excavator mounted drill rigs for access pioneeringComplete equipment pre-shifts and communicate equipment needs with supervisor and maintenance staffEnsure drill logs are complete and provide support to blasting crewApply safety practices and guidelines associated with the project and in accordance with Southeast Roadbuilders' safety manualMust be able to work Saturdays and Sundays. Typical weekly work hours can meet or exceed 60 hoursRelevant Qualifications:2-3 years of experience as a DrillerAbility to pass ATF background checkMSHA (can provide)OSHA 10 (can provide)Alaska Department of Labor Explosive's Handler Certificate of Fitness (preferred)CDL with hazmat endorsement (preferred)Physical Requirements:Must be able to pass drug screening and a PAT (physical abilities test)Must be able to communicate regularlyFrequently exposed to loud noisesFrequently exposed to outdoor weather conditionsColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
