Job description
Geotechnical Driller AssistantGeotechnical Driller Assistants with Gessner Engineering assist with the set up and operation of drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical exploration test boring.ResponsibilitiesAssists with daily inspections of drilling equipment and vehicles.Load necessary supplies and equipment required for the project.Follow all company safety policies.Train and eventually perform Logging and packaging samples.Assists with simple repairs and maintenance of drilling equipment under supervision.Assist with daily drilling operations, assist with adding augers when instructed and providing driller with the proper sampling tool for the soil conditions.Communicate job site conditions with engineering staff as needed.Manage time effectively and efficiently.QualificationsAbility to work outside.Occasional out of town travel ranging from 1 day to up to 1 week at a time.Valid Class A CDL (preferred)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Gessner Engineering is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.
