Job description
The Warehouse Associate/ Backup Driver is responsible for accurately and safely stocking, organizing, and managing warehouse inventory, fulfilling customer orders, and supporting daily shipping and receiving of orders. This role ensures materials are handled efficiently and safely to support timely customer deliveries.
Stock and organize products safely and accurately.
Pull and prepare customer orders for pick-up or delivery.
Load and unload the delivery trucks.
Count and verify incoming and outgoing inventory.
Rotate stock and report any damaged or missing items.
Reports to: Branch/Warehouse Manager
Travel Requirements
role is primarily based in the branch/warehouse.
Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
Ability to move heavy products in busy warehouses and/or outdoor yards, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, and involves active physical work.
Work performed in a warehouse environment in conditions like noise, hot or cold temperatures
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicating in English and/or bilingual (Spanish) may be required in specific locations.
Have valid drivers license and ability to obtain medical card.
Forklift experience or certification preferred (training and certification can be obtained after hire through company training)
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in a distribution, fulfillment or warehouse environment
Forklift Certification preferred (training and certification can be obtained after hire through company training)
Customer Service
The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $20.00 to $24.42 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.
