Job Description:
Join our compassionate team as a Driver, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents. * Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other designated locations
* Assist residents in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort
* Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, conducting routine checks and reporting any issues
* Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times
* Communicate effectively with nursing home staff and residents regarding transportation schedules and changes
* Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with residents during transport
* Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents
* Assist with loading and unloading residents' mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers
* Respond promptly to any emergencies or unexpected situations during transport
* Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and procedures
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
* Understanding of safety regulations and protocols
* Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges safely.
* Familiarity with local routes and GPS navigation systems.
* CPR and First Aid certification preferred
* Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
* Must pass a caregiver background check and motor vehicle record (MVR)
* Education High School Diploma/GED
* Experience Entry Level (0-2 years)
