DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports clients by guiding them through assessments, service coordination, and other case management activities. As a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee, you will perform the following duties:
Client Screening: Conduct telephone and face-to-face screening of clients during initial referral contact
Service Assessment: Conduct assessments in office or community settings to identify service needs
Care Determination: Determine appropriate level of care based on placement guidelines
Plan Coordination: Coordinate access to services and update Recovery Plans as needed
Authorization Processing: Request funding authorization and complete required documentation
Documentation Management: Document case activities and ensure compliance with confidentiality rules
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; or a Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
