Drywall Estimator/Assistant Project Manager (APM) Charlotte NCOptiline Enterprises is one of the fastest-growing drywall and framing contractors on the East Coast. This hybrid role combines preconstruction estimating responsibilities with project management support, offering the opportunity to be involved in both the bidding process and project execution.This position is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career path toward becoming a Project Manager or Senior Estimator while contributing to Optiline's continued growth.EstimatingPerform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate bids for drywall, framing, insulation, and related scopes.Analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents.Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor quotes.Collaborate with the Preconstruction Director and Estimating team to prepare competitive proposals.Project Management SupportAssist Project Managers in reviewing contracts, budgets, and schedules.Coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to ensure work is progressing according to plan.Track project costs, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.Maintain project documentation and reporting in alignment with Optiline standards.Support project closeout, punch lists, and client communication as needed.Qualifications2+ years of experience in commercial construction (drywall/framing preferred).Estimating experience and/or project coordination experience (field or office).Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or similar) a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Authorized to work in the United States.What We OfferCompetitive salary: Based on experience and skills assessment.Career advancement opportunities toward Project Manager or Senior Estimator roles.Mentorship and training from experienced project managers and preconstruction leaders.Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k).A supportive, family-oriented culture with a focus on growth and innovation.Join Optiline Enterprises and build more than projects-build your career.Apply today by sending your resume to will conduct a criminal background check for this position upon offer acceptance.
