Dunn-Shealy Endowed Professor of Nursing
The University of South Carolina College of Nursing invites applications for the Dunn-Shealy Endowed Professor of Nursing position. We are seeking a distinguished nurse scientist with a robust research portfolio in cancer/oncology research. This role offers the opportunity to lead and expand the Cancer Survivorship Research Center, contributing to our mission to advance health outcomes through innovative research, education, and community engagement. The position includes endowment support, a generous start-up package, and opportunities for collaboration with researchers across the college, university, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
Propel scholarly innovation and produce a sustained record of research in cancer/oncology research.
Maintain a successful record of federal funding (R01 or equivalent).
Lead interdisciplinary research initiatives, fostering partnerships with USC faculty, clinical affiliates, and community organizations.
Mentor faculty and high-caliber students to elevate the college's research profile.
Pursue external funding through private, governmental, and foundation grants.
Enhance the college's reputation through exemplary research, academic leadership and teaching, and student engagement.
Engage in service activities that support the mission of the college and university.

Required Education and Experience
PhD in Nursing or a PhD in a health-related field and a minimum of a master's degree in nursing
Proven research record in cancer/oncology research
Established history of federal funding (R01 or equivalent)
Demonstrated leadership in building and managing a research enterprise
Commitment to teaching excellence and a vision to enhance the college's national prominence
The selected candidates will join the College of Nursing's research team of junior and senior-level researchers with established research programs.
