Job description
Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator/Orthotic FitterSouthern Orthopedic Specialists, PA is looking for a Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator/Orthotic Fitter to join our team. The main task is to fit, adjust and make modifications to orthotic devices like braces or splints that are prescribed to patients by a healthcare professional.Duties and responsibilities:Evaluate, measure, and fit patients with orthopedic braces and supportive devicesProvide education and training to patients and caregivers on the use and maintenance of orthotic devicesWork closely and collaborate with medical professionalsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsComply with all safety and infection control standardsEnsure patient satisfaction by providing excellent customer serviceOrdering of all orthopedic braces and medical supplies for orthopedic clinicProblem-solving skills to identify issues with braces and make necessary adjustments for comfort and functionalityPatience and excellent interpersonal skills to work with patients who may be in pain or discomfort, and to communicate effectively with medical staffKnowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology to understand the specific requirements and constraints related to each patient's conditionTechnical expertise to properly measure, fit and adjust orthotic equipment to meet individual patient needsPhysical stamina and dexterity to assist patients in fitting and wearing orthotic devices and to perform tasks that require precisionLicense/Certification:LPNCMAATCCOTBenefits:Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid time off401(K)Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountLife InsuranceWork Location: In Person, Clinical setting.Schedule: Monday-FridayJob Type: Full TimeSalary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
