Job Description Job Description Eakas Corporation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Injection Molding Technician to support production operations by setting up, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing injection molding equipment. The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for ensuring that molding machines, tooling, and auxiliary equipment operate safely and efficiently while producing high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.
This position plays a critical role in supporting production goals, minimizing downtime, improving process efficiency, and maintaining quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Machine Setup and Operation
Perform mold changes, machine startups, and process verifications.
Set machine parameters according to established process sheets and production requirements.
Install, connect, and verify molds, water lines, auxiliary equipment, and material delivery systems.
Ensure machines are running efficiently and producing parts that meet quality standards.
Conduct start-up approvals and first-piece inspections as required.
Troubleshooting and Process Improvement
Troubleshoot molding, tooling, material, and equipment issues.
Make process adjustments to maintain part quality and production output.
Monitor cycle times and process performance.
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
Assist with continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Quality Assurance
Inspect molded parts for defects and conformance to specifications.
Work closely with Quality personnel to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
Ensure process documentation is accurate and current.
Maintain established production standards and customer requirements.
Assist in corrective action activities related to molding processes.
Equipment Maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
Identify equipment concerns and communicate repair needs to Maintenance.
Assist in maintaining molds and tooling in proper operating condition.
Maintain accurate maintenance and production records.
