To ensure guest rooms are restocked with operational standard amenities and supplies. To provide for reasonable guest requests such as delivery of additional linens upon request.Essential duties and responsibilities:Clean hotel rooms quickly, neatly and efficientlyEnsure guest rooms and corridors are cleanMaintain a friendly, approachable, and helpful demeanor with all guests and staffDeliver any on-call items to guests, as requestedAssist with any guest inquiries regarding the hotel and surrounding areasMaintain neat and clean cart, equipment, storage rooms, and supplies.To maintain a clean and professional appearance.To respect all hotel equipment and property and use with care to avoid unnecessary damage.Label and submit all lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor immediately.Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishingWash windows as scheduledOperate mechanized cleaning equipmentMaintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working conditionMonitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacementsPerform additional duties as required.Organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departuresDistribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by handRealign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layoutRespond to guest queries and requestsRespond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glassesAssist in delivering any requested housekeeping items to guest roomsOrganize and restock cart at the end of the shiftFollow all company safety and security proceduresReport any maintenance issues or safety hazardsObserve and report damage of hotel propertyQualificationsKnowledge, skills & abilities:Knowledge housekeeping standards, common cleaning products and their use.Knowledge of cleaning techniques and methodsKnowledge of cleaning sensitive materialsWorking knowledge of operating cleaning equipmentMaintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooksVisual acuity to inspect and monitor cleaning standards.Ability to read and follow instructions.Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner with both guests and staffWillingness to assist othersMust communicate effectively with all levels of managementMaintain high standards of personal appearance and groomingMaintain regular attendanceAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers and patronsMust be flexible to provide assistance to management team in a 24/7 operating environmentMust have reliable transportationPhysical requirements:Working extended hours may be required as neededRegularly required to stand, walk, use repetitive wrist and arm movement, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRegularly pushing and pullingRegularly lifting up to 40 lbs.
