About The Role:
The Ecommerce & Retention Manager owns how Mingle keeps and grows its customers online. Reporting to our Founder, you'll lead email and SMS, subscriptions and loyalty, and the performance of our Shopify store, turning first-time buyers into loyal, repeat customers. You'll also support paid media and work closely with Creative, Customer Experience and specialized partners.
Our core programs and tools are in place. Your job is to own them, optimize them and build what's missing as we grow. This is a hands-on role. You'll write the copy, run the tests, analyze the results and drive the improvements yourself. We're serious about this role, so we're seeking candidates who geek out on Retention.

Key Responsibilities:
Email and SMS
Own email and SMS as a revenue channel across Klaviyo & Postscript: strategy, segmentation, campaigns, deliverability and reporting.
Write and edit email, SMS and on-site copy that drives action and stays true to the Mingle voice.
Optimize our automated flows, from welcome and abandonment through post-purchase, replenishment & win-back, and build new ones where there are gaps.
Grow our email and SMS audience through sign-up forms, pop-ups and offers, & own consent compliance.
Plan the campaign calendar with Creative around launches, seasons and key moments like BFCM & Dry January.
Subscriptions and Loyalty
Own our subscription and loyalty program in Skio: offers, cadence options, rewards, churn reduction and reporting.
Grow our subscriber base and keep subscribers longer, with clear plans to win back cancelled and lapsed customers.
Shopify Store and Conversion
Own conversion rate and average order value on our Shopify site.
Test and improve product pages, offers, bundles and checkout.
Build a retention and conversion plan into every product launch.
Measurement and Testing
Test constantly across offers, timing, messaging and pages. Let the data decide.
Track customers by cohort and report core metrics monthly in Triple Whale and Shopify, with clear explanations and next steps.
Use AI and automation tools to improve personalization, testing and reporting.
You'll also
Support paid media performance, including customer audiences and retargeting, in partnership with our paid media team.
Run review collection through Junip and share customer content with Creative.
Partner with our affiliate program to turn affiliate-acquired customers into repeat buyers.
Partner with Customer Experience so every touchpoint after purchase builds loyalty.
Key Metrics:
Repeat purchase rate, second-order rate, customer lifetime value (LTV), subscriber growth and churn, site conversion rate and average order value, and email/SMS revenue and list growth.
Qualifications:
3–4+ years in retention marketing at a CPG brand. Food, beverage, beauty or wellness experience is preferred.
A strong copywriter who can write email, SMS and on-site copy that converts, in Mingle's voice.
Hands-on experience with Klaviyo (flows, segmentation, reporting) and an SMS platform like Postscript.
Experience running a subscription program on a platform such as Skio or Recharge.
Experience improving conversion on a Shopify store through testing.
Experience managing agencies and freelancers, and writing clear briefs.
Working knowledge of SMS and email consent requirements.
Strong analytical skills: cohort analysis, Shopify analytics, test design. Triple Whale experience is a plus.
Familiarity with paid social is a plus.
Comfortable with AI tools and quick to adopt new ones.
Thrives in a fast-moving, founder-led company with real ownership.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary $90K–$125K, depending on experience
Performance bonus tied to repeat purchase, subscriber growth and online revenue goals
