Job description
Traffic ControllerThe Traffic Controller is responsible for the supervision and success of the Deerfield, FL transfer station.Key Responsibilities:Direct traffic in and out of the transfer stationCommunicate with DispatchManage equipment counts to reflect customer needsSupervise and train driversManage movement of equipment to ensure efficient workflowEnforce all safety policies and procedures and conduct regular inspectionsEnsure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulationsManage operation and maintenance of heavy equipmentTarping requiredMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred3–5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operationsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsKnowledge of safety and environmental regulationsAbility to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environmentAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materialsAble to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. as neededAbility to operate machinery and perform site inspectionPreferred Qualifications:OSHA certificationCDLHeavy equipment operation certificationBilingual in English and SpanishBenefits and Additional Compensation:Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, which may include:Health, dental, and vision insurance$25,000 Company paid life insuranceVoluntary supplemental insurance401(k) plan participationPaid time off and holiday payEmployment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.We participate in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility in the United States.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
