Job description
Move legal matters between enterprise eDiscovery platforms with chain-of-custody integrity and legal defensibility intact.
What you'll do
Execute platform-to-platform migrations across COTS eDiscovery solutions, including Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint SaaS
Migrate active and archived matters, custodial collections, productions, transcripts, and review work product with tags, redactions, search histories, and workspace configuration preserved
Maintain data integrity through digital hashing and industry-standard chain-of-custody validation
Map, transform, and normalize metadata and load files (.DAT, .OPT, Concordance) to target platform requirements
Run QA and UAT activities — sampling, reconciliation checks, and validation audits
Develop phased migration plans that minimize disruption to ongoing litigation workflows
Coordinate across legal, IT, security, and operations teams on legal hold, privacy, and data-retention compliance
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of IT experience
3–7+ years in eDiscovery data migration, ETL workflows, or legal technology engineering
Subject-matter expertise with Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint eDiscovery environments
Advanced command of EDRM concepts, metadata handling, relational databases, and structured load files
Scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, and SQL
Track record of defensible, auditable migrations with documented chain of custody and full metadata preservation
Understanding of legal holds, retention policies, and data privacy requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust suitability determination
Nice to have
Concordance load-file experience
Support of large-scale complex litigation or government investigations
Secure data-transfer protocols and cloud SaaS migration practice
