EDM Machinist IMicro-Tronics, Inc. | Tempe, AZFull-Time | Non-Exempt Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through ThursdayAbout Micro-TronicsMicro-Tronics, Inc. is a precision aerospace manufacturing company committed to operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EDM Machinist I to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in producing complex, high-precision aerospace components while supporting safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the manufacturing process.Position SummaryThe EDM Machinist I is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining EDM equipment used to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. This position works under the guidance of experienced machinists and provides opportunities to develop skills in wire EDM, sinker EDM, small-hole EDM, blueprint reading, quality inspection, and precision machining. You will play a key role in supporting operational excellence through quality, productivity, safety, and documentation accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM machines to produce precision parts.Load materials and set up fixtures according to work instructions.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection tools.Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as required.Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.Record production measurements and maintain accurate documentation.Comply with all safety policies and procedures.Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.QualificationsExperience, Education, and Training Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required.Manufacturing experience preferred.Basic mechanical knowledge, blueprint reading, measuring equipment use, and willingness to learn.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsSafely use hand tools and measuring equipmentWear required PPE.Our ValuesBeing Accountable – Taking ownership of responsibilities, following through on commitments, acting with integrity, and producing quality results.Being Collaborative – Working respectfully and effectively with others, sharing knowledge, communicating openly, and contributing to team success.Being Empowered – Demonstrating initiative, solving problems proactively, embracing continuous improvement, and making informed decisions within the scope of the position.BenefitsAt Micro-Tronics Inc., we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
