Job description

Job Title: EHS Manager

Location: Texarkana, TX

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3-12 Months

Type: Contract

Compensation

Rate: $55-$60/hr

Per Diem: None Available

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule

Hours: 40-50 Hours/Week

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00/5:00 PM

Project Scope

The EHS Manager will provide environmental, health, and safety leadership within a manufacturing and industrial plant environment. This position will oversee environmental compliance programs, regulatory reporting, inspections, documentation management, and compliance tracking activities across the facility.

The role requires direct involvement with air permitting, hazardous waste management, stormwater and wastewater compliance, refrigerant management, and environmental monitoring programs. The EHS Manager will coordinate with plant operations, maintenance teams, laboratories, environmental vendors, and contractors to ensure all regulatory requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.

This position will also support OSHA General Industry compliance efforts, identify compliance gaps, track corrective actions, and maintain audit-ready documentation to support regulatory inspections and internal reviews.

Qualifications

7+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, automotive, or similar plant environments

Demonstrated experience with environmental regulatory compliance in a manufacturing facility

Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements

Experience supporting Title V air compliance and emissions monitoring programs

Working knowledge of hazardous waste management and RCRA requirements

Experience with environmental reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation

Ability to coordinate contractors, laboratories, inspections, and regulatory activities

Additional Requirements

Direct experience with Title V air permitting and emissions compliance

Experience managing hazardous waste and RCRA compliance programs

Knowledge of stormwater compliance and SWPPP requirements

Experience supporting wastewater compliance programs

Familiarity with refrigerant, CFC, and ODS compliance requirements

Experience conducting environmental sampling and monitoring activities

Ability to manage compliance calendars, inspections, corrective actions, and reporting requirements

CSP, CHMM, ASP, OSHA 511, HAZWOPER, or comparable EHS/environmental credentials preferred

Key Responsibilities

Manage environmental compliance requirements, deadlines, inspections, reporting, and documentation

Support Title V air compliance, emissions monitoring, fuel tracking, GHG calculations, and CAM requirements

Maintain environmental compliance records, databases, and tracking spreadsheets

Oversee hazardous waste storage areas, inspection programs, shipment documentation, and transporter records

Coordinate stormwater inspections, sampling activities, laboratory testing, and records management

Support wastewater compliance activities, flow monitoring, calibration, sampling, and reporting

Maintain refrigerant tracking systems, equipment inventories, and leak inspection documentation

Coordinate environmental compliance activities with operations, maintenance teams, laboratories, and contractors

Identify compliance deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented

Support OSHA General Industry compliance efforts and provide guidance to onsite safety personnel

Prepare and maintain records for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews

Strong expertise in environmental compliance management within manufacturing and industrial facilities. Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations including Title V air permitting, RCRA hazardous waste requirements, stormwater permitting, wastewater compliance, refrigerant management, emissions tracking, environmental reporting, corrective action programs, OSHA General Industry standards, and audit preparedness. Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain compliance-driven operational programs.
