At DSI, we're all invested in doing the job right.Essential FunctionsAssist a journeyman electrician and follow instructionsPrepare and clean work areasCarry and deliver materialsInstall, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipmentUse measuring equipment and hand tools to perform conduit and cable tray installationFollow safety codes and building regulationsBe reliable and on timeOther duties as assigned$25 - $40 an hourEducation and/or Work Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED certificateEagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skillsGood technical skills and a willingness to follow instructionStrong analytical ability and willingness to accept and learn from criticismHold valid driver's licenseHave good English-speaking skillsPrefer someone with 3-4 years of apprentice experienceTeam oriented and possess a strong commitment to safety and qualityPhysical RequirementsBending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights will all be requiredGood work ethic, team player attitude, and problem-solving abilityAble to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistanceOwn personal hand tools with power tools providedMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screenMust be able to work outside in extreme temperatures, or in a shop environmentSchedule: Minimum of 50 hours a week. 10 hours a day. But workload may require us to work 12 hours a day up to 7 days a week
