Job description

Electrical Assembler IThe Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor, playing a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS). Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. For over 60 years we have maintained "A Tradition of Excellence", serving as a trusted source for our unwavering commitment to supporting all branches of the Department of Defense and our global allies. Our collaboration extends across a diverse array of programs and platforms, including major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.Be part of a team that is engaged in assembly and testing of electrical components for example harnesses, power supplies, mechanical assemblies, capacitors, and switches, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, equipment setup, and testing procedures.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand blueprints, specifications, and job orders and assigns work. Demonstrates: equipment setup and operation, techniques of assembly, wiring, and soldering. Ensure customer shipment dates and specifications are met by meeting productivity and quality standards. Make recommendations to improve production methods, performance, and quality of product. Abide to all safety requirements, regulations, and Company Policies. Develop your assembly skills and grow with the support of your leadership team. Perform other related duties as may be required.Skills / RequirementsHigh School Diploma, and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, technical procedures, drawings, specifications, and governmental regulations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. Familiarity with MRP/ERP software. Knowledge of SAP ERP software preferred but not mandatory. Must be able to speak/read/write English. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, or sitting. Occasionally required to bend, stoop, or kneel.
