Job description
Electrical Mechanical AssemblerThe Electrical Assembler is responsible for the Assembly of LED light heads, cables and power supplies for a variety of style of lights. The task requires both an electrical understanding and mechanical integration skills. Assembly requires the use of small hand tools that range from manual, power, and pneumatic types. In short, the light line will build up the assembly, test it, and prepare it to be shipped to the final destination where the magic comes together.Responsibilities include:Experience with formal electronics training, including installation tasks, thru-hole soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making or repairing connectorsStage, set up, assemble, test and install LED light hardwareExperience cleaning, prepping, and soldering components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs)Use precision calibrated tools - torque wrenches, ohmmeters and programming equipmentHands on operations of medium and small assemblies that are fragile and delicateRead, understand, and interpret drawings and schematicsPerform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructionsCollaborate with production Engineers to develop and document activitiesEnsure all assembly services are performed on time, safely and in a professional mannerPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentPreferred skills and experience include:5+ years of Electrical Assembly experienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredExperience in a fast pace production/assembly environmentA demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, schematics, and test proceduresAdvanced soldering ability and experience are highly desiredAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentAdditional requirements include:Must be able to lift at least 30+ lbs.Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
