Job description

About the Company

Dynamic Systems (DSI), LLC is a leading engineering, fabrication, construction, and specialty systems provider serving high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor, mission critical, life sciences, industrial, and advanced technology clients throughout the United States. DSI delivers turnkey solutions including process piping, specialty gas systems, ultra-high-purity systems, mechanical/HVAC, process, construction, modular fabrication, utility infrastructure, and facility support services.

As part of the Quanta Services family of companies, DSI combines the agility and technical expertise of a specialized engineering organization with the resources, stability, and nationwide reach of one of North America's premier infrastructure companies.

DSI is currently expanding its corporate engineering capabilities and building a world-class engineering organization to support continued growth across multiple business units. This is an opportunity to join a growing team, help establish engineering standards, develop innovative technical solutions, and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on some of the world's most advanced manufacturing and technology facilities.

Position Summary

Provides electrical engineering support for DSI's HVAC and plumbing mechanical projects, focused on the power, controls, and equipment-connection needs of mechanical systems. Coordinates closely with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and designers to ensure electrical scope for mechanical equipment is properly designed, documented, and coordinated with other trades. This is a support role to DSI's core mechanical scope — not a stand-alone electrical design practice.

Key Responsibilities

Design power distribution, disconnects, and control wiring associated with HVAC and plumbing mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, AHUs, pumps, VFDs, etc.)

Coordinate electrical equipment connections and load requirements with mechanical engineers and controls engineers

Review electrical contractor drawings and submittals for coordination with mechanical equipment requirements

Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing for mechanical system power needs

Support site visits and field coordination to verify electrical connections match mechanical equipment requirements

Review and respond to RFIs related to electrical-mechanical coordination during construction

Ensure electrical scope tied to mechanical systems complies with applicable codes (NEC and local amendments)
