Job description
A growing food company is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer with food manufacturing experience to support capital projects and improve electrical, automation and controls systems across its processing plants.
In return, the company offers a good starting salary, excellent benefits and relocation if needed.
Salary range for this position is $110k–$140k plus 25% bonus.
Medical, Dental and Vision offered to qualified candidates after 60 days.
This is NOT a remote position. It will be based at one of the company’s Texas plants, multiple locations. Relocation is available if needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required
5 years of related electrical engineering experience required
Experience supporting capital projects for power, distribution, automation and controls in a manufacturing environment
Thorough knowledge of the NEC and related codes; able to apply voltage drop, conductor sizing and conduit fill calculations
Ability to read and work from one-line diagrams, drawings, wiring schematics and panel schedules
Experience with transformers, switchboards, distribution panelboards, MCCs and automation systems
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Strong problem-solving skills; able to lead root cause / failure mode analysis to reduce maintenance spend
Ability to work with contractors and outside engineering firms on plans, specs, bid documents, RFIs and site installation
Self-starter who can work with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Finance
Food manufacturing experience is a plus
