What You'll Be Doing

Design, maintain, and improve plant electrical systems and components.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to support safe and efficient plant performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to reduce downtime.

Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff.

What Are We Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing, cement, mining, aggregates, metals, power generation, chemical processing, or other heavy industrial environment. Relevant internships, co-ops, and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) experience may be considered toward this requirement for exceptional candidates.

Knowledge of industrial electrical systems including power distribution, motor controls, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), instrumentation, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, controls, instrumentation, or process-related issues while supporting plant reliability and operational performance.

Ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, contractors, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, support capital projects, and maintain safe plant operations.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Willingness to work in a heavy industrial cement manufacturing environment, including field exposure, production areas, and occasional support outside normal business hours as operational needs require.

Commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and operational reliability.

Work Environment

Work is performed in both office and heavy manufacturing environments, including exposure to electrical equipment, motor control centers (MCCs), power distribution systems, and varying outdoor weather conditions.

Regular exposure to production areas may include moving equipment, elevated work areas, dust, noise, heat, cold, and other outdoor weather conditions.

Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.

The role may require climbing stairs and ladders, walking over uneven surfaces, and responding to occasional operational needs outside standard business hours.

Travel to other company locations, project sites, or vendor facilities may be required.
