Job description
Job Overview: This role focuses on electrical and electromechanical product development, with responsibilities spanning electronic hardware design, testing, automation development, prototyping, and cross-functional product integration. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, building and testing prototypes, performing engineering analysis, creating specifications, working with suppliers, supporting production implementation, and researching new technologies. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to develop, test, and implement solutions that meet product and customer needs.

Highlights of your role: Design and problem-solving activities: Design, troubleshoot, and validate electronic circuits and systems used in new product development initiatives.
Automation: Design, develop, and validate automated test systems used to evaluate product performance, reliability, and functionality.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical reports, engineering documentation, test procedures, and product specifications.
Circuit Board Design: A basic understanding of circuit board design and firmware development, and testing.
Product Knowledge: Become intimately familiar with our current electronic products and how they are implemented into our fenestration products.
Exposure to mechanical design or electromechanical product development.
Build, modify, and evaluate prototypes to support concept development and product validation.
Other functions: Product installation and setup testing, production support, soldering of small electronics with high quality a plus, Ability to read and comprehend engineering systems requirements documents
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can): Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering required.
0-2 years of experience within related industries
Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) preferred
Working knowledge of PCB design tools, embedded systems experience, lab equipment, Oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems preferred.
Experience developing mechanical and electromechanical design solutions preferred
Must be able to be a positive member of a team environment, an individual who possesses self-motivation skills and is dependable and trustworthy
Must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively
Must possess proficient organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities and be able to work with power tools and computer equipment

Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000 annually
