Job description
Our client, a leading industrial engineering and manufacturing company, is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer in Wallula, WA 99363 . This position will support the installation and commissioning of current and future industrial projects, working closely with vendors, contractors, and teams from around the world while gaining valuable insight into factory operations.
Location: Wallula, WA 99363
Pay Rate Range: $95,000–$115,000/year, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Supervise external electrical installation and commissioning teams throughout project execution.
Follow assigned commissioning projects from start to finish, providing technical support and ensuring safety and quality standards are met and enforced.
Coordinate daily activities with supplier supervisors, site management, contractors, and internal team members to ensure alignment on installation, testing, and project execution.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure employees and third-party personnel adhere to approved budgets, project parameters, schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress and provide daily updates on installation, testing, commissioning, and overall execution.
Support installation testing, signal testing, loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
Assist team members with smaller projects between assignments by answering technical questions, providing feedback, reviewing documentation, and performing other engineering duties as assigned.
Requirements:
5+ years of practical, hands-on Electrical Engineering experience required; industrial experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical installations, including cable installations, electrical panels, junction boxes, field devices, motors, drives, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, layout drawings, cable lists, I/O lists, panel drawings, and technical specifications.
Basic understanding of PLCs; experience with Siemens TIA Portal is preferred.
Experience supporting installation testing, signal testing, loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and work effectively with third-party vendors and contractors while ensuring contractual obligations, deadlines, safety requirements, and performance standards are met.
Knowledge of commercial and industrial safety standards and experience working within an approved project budget.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 60% domestically and internationally for different projects. This project is 2 years long, located in Wallula, WA, and will not require the travel component outside of the job site.
