Electrical Estimator – Substation Construction

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a background in substation construction or the electric utility industry.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for electrical and substation construction projects.
Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to determine project scope and costs.
Complete material and labor take-offs.
Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
Prepare competitive bids and proposals.
Identify project risks, scope gaps and potential change orders.
Work closely with Project Management and Construction teams throughout the estimating and project handover process.
Attend pre-construction and project meetings as required.
Requirements
5+ years of electrical construction estimating experience.
Experience within substations, transmission, distribution or the wider electric utility industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials and costs.
Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
Pennsylvania-based preferred. xhqgsiq
Willingness to travel occasionally to offices and project sites.
