Electrical ForemanCS Erickson is a growing electrical and technology contractor delivering complex, integrated solutions for clients across the country. With expertise spanning Electrical Construction and Service, AV Technology, Structured Cabling, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, and Electrical Engineering, we are expanding what is possible through integrated electrical and technology solutions.The Electrical Foreman is responsible for leading an electrical crew on commercial construction sites. Their primary role is to ensure planning, laying out, installing, and wiring electrical components are completed, as per project drawings, specifications and in accordance with applicable electrical codes.What you'll do:Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnelDelegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractorsRecruiting, hiring, training, managing and mentoring employees and contractorsProviding adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needsEmphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, hardhats and proceduresManaging project budgets and quality standards for all sitesResolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicablyRegularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officialsQualifications:Journeyman or Master Electrical licenseCustomer-service skills to communicate with inspectors and administration to develop a positive working relationshipDecision-making skills for selecting personnel and subcontractors for specific tasks and jobs to meet deadlines and budgetsInitiative for generating their own business opportunities and being proactive in locating new clientsLeadership skills for effectively delegating tasks to lower-level managers, subcontractors and construction workers.Speaking skills for providing clear orders, explaining complex information to clients and construction workers and discussing technical details with other building specialistsTechnical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings.Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensure construction phases are completed on time so that the next phase can startWriting skills for writing budgets, proposals and plans along with documenting work progress for clients and others involvedProven experience as a Foreman for other construction sitesIn-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelinesPreferred Skills and Abilities:6-10 years of electrical field leadership experience10+ years of electrical experienceCrews 10-20Projects up to $1,000,000Strong proficiency in software and tools (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid) and Microsoft Office SuiteWinning Behaviors and Competencies:Real-time Communication is key to success: We will communicate real-time to our team members and clients.Knowing our projects is key to success: Preplanning and continuous planning habits lead to success.
