Electrician HelperAmteck is hiring an Electrician Helper for a local service role in Charleston, South Carolina. This position supports Journeyman Electricians, foremen, and project leadership on commercial and industrial electrical work. The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, eager to learn, and ready to grow a long-term career in the electrical trade.This is a local position based in Charleston, SC. Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Charleston and be available to work on local projects.What You Will DoWork under the supervision and direction of Journeyman Electricians, foremen, and other field leadership.Assist with assigned electrical construction and service tasks within your assessed skill level.Support the installation, routing, and bending of Rigid and EMT conduit.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company and jobsite safety requirements.Build skills through hands-on experience and the opportunity to enroll in Amteck's accredited apprenticeship program.Develop additional skills in areas such as low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm.QualificationsAt least 2 years of electrical experience on commercial or industrial job sites.Experience running and bending Rigid and EMT conduit.Experience working alongside a Journeyman Electrician.OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required.Ability to follow directions, work safely, and contribute as part of a team.Reliable transportation and the ability to commute locally to Charleston-area projects.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planShort-term and long-term disability coveragePaid time off: 80 hours awarded each January 1 following the date of hire, with a tiered PTO schedule for the first partial year based on the date of hireWhy AmteckFounded in 1977, Amteck has grown from a small electrical contractor in Central Kentucky into a national leader in design-build support electrical contracting.
