What You'll Do Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test commercial and industrial electrical systems and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Inspect, repair, and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, electrical panels, motors, and related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to maximize system performance and reliability.
Calculate electrical loads and ensure proper system installation.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently.
Install new electrical systems in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, inspections, and service records.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, supervisors, and team members.
Follow OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety standards at all times.
Mentor apprentices and support the development of less experienced electricians when needed.
Qualifications Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, power distribution, and substations.
Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and electrical safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret commercial and industrial electrical blueprints and schematics.
Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, motor control centers (MCCs), and related equipment.
Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Ability to train and mentor apprentices is preferred.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing.
Five (5) or more years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of the job.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment Frequently stand, walk, and move throughout construction and industrial job sites.
Regularly use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
Occasionally climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and work in elevated areas.
Work in commercial construction environments with exposure to changing weather conditions, moving equipment, and active job sites.
May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
