Electrical-Mechanical Assembler (Crimping)Volt is hiring for an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler for a company in Poway Ca.As an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler you will:Perform detailed electrical cable and harness assembly, including crimping, wiring, connecting, bundling, and finishing per drawings and specificationsPrepare and terminate wires with connectors or terminals and apply protective jacketsConduct functional testing, electrical ring out, and use test equipment to verify performance and safetyPerform surface mount soldering and related electrical assembly tasksComplete harness and point to point wiringRead and follow detailed blueprints, written instructions, and verbal guidanceInterpret ECNs, ECOs, and Temporary Deviations to support engineering updatesPerform engineering changes, rework, and modifications as requiredConduct in-process and final inspections to ensure quality complianceFollow all established safety and quality standardsProvide daily status updates to supervisor or leadThis is a full-time 6-8 month opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & Qualifications High School degree or equivalentTraining or courses in E/M assembly, cable and wire harnesses. Soldering training or education.Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical and cable assemblyProficient in soldering and crimping using hand toolsAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentationProficient in utilizing computer for MS Office and ERP (Oracle preferred) and to update issues in tracking system (Jira).Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to lift up to 25lbs and perform repetitive tasks while standingSchedule: Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pmPay Rate: $22-25 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
