Job description
Electrical Quality Inspector (Days)Join a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors as a Quality Control Technician in the electrical assembly department. This role involves high voltage electrical testing using multimeters, megohmeters, and contact resistance testers, along with visual inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).ResponsibilitiesConduct high voltage electrical testing of units using multimeters, megohmeters, and contact resistance testers.Perform visual inspections of welds and conduct Hi-Pot, insulation resistance, contact resistance, and functional operation tests.Read blueprints and electrical drawings, using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.Write inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs), identifying root causes of quality issues and recommending corrective actions.Communicate effectively with English and Spanish-speaking employees.Perform general labor tasks using hand tools and power tools.Essential Skills5+ years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in high voltage electrical inspection and testing equipment.Ability to conduct Hi-Pot, insulation resistance, and contact resistance tests.Experience with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Capability to read electrical drawings and blueprints.Strong skills in quality control, inspection, and audit processes.Why Work Here?Experience explosive growth and rapid career advancement opportunities. The facility is clean, organized, and fast-paced. Employees will float between the electrical assembly shop, weld shop, machine shop, and powder coating shop. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses.The day shift operates from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, typically working 11 hours per day, 5-6 days a week.The team comprises 19 inspectors, with a mix of Level 1 and Level 2 inspectors.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $46.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
