Job description
The role of t h e Mechanical S u bject Matt e r Ex p ert ( SM E) is t h e f or e most t echnical leader on HVAC and o ther fl u id sy s t e ms f or their si t e. S M Es s er v e as m entors to Facilit i es and Commissioning Engi n e ers in t h e field and c lassr o om . This r ole is han d s - o n w i th i n critical envi r o n ments.
Primary Duties within varied scope of work and expectations will range from:
• Optimizes the reliability and performance of the mechanical systems within data centers
• Enhances team ability to operate, maintain , and repair electrical system
• Oversees the preparation, execution, and quality control of all work on electrical systems
• Develops and maintains operating procedures ( SOP / MOP /E OP )
• Leads the root cause analysis ( R CA ) process for electrical system events , faults , and issues
• Manages the vendor relations hips which provide support for electrical systems
• Train facility engineers on electrical system fundamentals during the initial qualification process
• Delivers formal classroom training on electrical systems for the data center operation team

• Possesses 8 Y ears e x pe r i e n ce i n a el e ctri cal role i n a mi ss i o n cr i tic a l e n vi r o n me nt or ABET - a ccred ited bachel o r’s d egree i n e n gi n e eri n g or e n gi n eeri n g te c h nol o gy wit h 4 years of e x pe r i e n ce
• Demonstrated comprehensive ex p eri e n ce p erfo r mi n g el e c tric a l o p er a tio n s , mai nt enance, troubles ho oting, a n d r e p a ir s
• Possesses the ability to interpret s c h em a tic s a nd tec h n ic a l d r a wi n g s
• Possesses working kn o w l e d ge o f m ec han ic a l co n t r o ls , and fire su p p re ss i o n/a l a rm systems assoc i a t e w i th mission criti c a l e n vi r o n m e nts
• Demonstrated experience working in a coll ab or a t ive m u lt i -d i s ci p li n e d e n v i ro n me n t • Possesses strong proficiency with Microsoft O f f i c e su ite
