Electrical TechnicianSalary Range $24.00 - $35.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Education Level Trade School Category Skilled Labor - TradesOverviewWoodfin-Your Home Team is searching for an experienced Residential Electrician to join our team! The mission of the Residential Electrician is to perform highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and trouble-shooting work involved with electrical systems. Join us to work for an organization built around the core values of Humility, Integrity, and Respect!What You'll Do:Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of residential electrical systems in an efficient and professional manner.Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring.Diagnose the cause of problems and/or failures in electrical systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.Operate power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.Install, repair, and service specialized electrical equipment and machinery.Construct and maintain service equipment.Read electrical circuit diagrams.Requisition material and supplies from stockroom, call vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and recommend purchases and suppliers.May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.Supervise apprentice Electricians during their training period.Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability and safe operating condition.Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as assigned to gather information required to perform or enhance job functions.Prepare written materials (e.g., repair status, activity logs, work orders, etc.) for customers as well as supervisors to document job status and provide estimates.Coordinate with other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.QualificationsWhat You'll Bring:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Must have graduated from an approved Electrician training program.4+ years of experience as an Electrician.Currently licensed as an Electrician in Virginia.Committed to safety in the use of all hand and power tools.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Safety and customer service oriented.Fluent English-speaking and writing skills.Neat, clean, and professional appearance.Organized and detail oriented.Driving Requirements Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.Must have positive points on state driving record.Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.Physical Requirements Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.What We Offer:A welcoming, family-oriented work environment that supports work/life balance.401K plan with Roth and Traditional options, including a 25% company match on up to 6% of your income.Medical insurance with three plan choices, including Health Savings Account options.Dental insurance with two plan choices.Vision insurance coverage.Flexible spending account.Tuition reimbursement.Access to apprenticeship training programs.Scholarship opportunities for you and your family.Paths for cross-training and career advancement.Paid vacation and PTO that accrues from day one.Employee Assistance Program for support when needed.Because our technicians come to us with varying levels of experience, we chose to post a pay range that is inclusive of the different experience levels and growth opportunities within the role.Not everyone may fulfill all the requirements listed here.
