Electrical TechnicianAVT Simulation is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in Oviedo, Florida. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the development, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components for our simulation products. This position does not require a college degree; instead, we value hands-on experience and practical skills in electrical engineering and technology. Must be US citizen to acquire security clearance. This is not a remote position. Travel Requirement: 20%Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical systems and components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions and improvements for existing electrical designs.Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Document procedures, test results, and technical specifications accurately for reference and future troubleshooting.Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment at all times.Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for the job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification.Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuits.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.Preferred Qualifications :Vocational training or certification in electrical technology or a related field.Prior experience with simulation technology or military systems is a plus.Familiarity with software tools for electrical design and simulation (e.g., AutoCAD, LabVIEW).Essential Mental RequirementsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent decision-making skills.Must be able to work effectively on a team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possesses strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.Essential Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
