Electrical And Mechanical Maintenance Technician$27–$40/hour base pay (based on experience), plus $2.00/hour shift differential for night shifts. Now offering a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus!!! Location: Verona, VAThis position is responsible for maintaining electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment. (S)he will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and implementing corrective and preventative measures. Follow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Essential DutiesMaintain and repair a wide range of high-speed manufacturing and automation equipmentPerform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and equipment reliabilityUtilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, analyze, and proactively identify potential failuresDisassemble equipment to access and resolve mechanical and electrical issuesInspect components to identify wear, misalignment, and performance gapsRepair or replace defective parts with a focus on root cause resolutionSupport continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance and efficiencyMaintain accurate documentation of work performed and findingsDemonstrate consistent attendance and reliabilityPerform additional duties as assigned to support plant operationsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferred3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with low and high voltage electrical systemsStrong troubleshooting expertise in: Rotary fillers and filling systems Packaging equipment (conveyance, case packing, palletizing, etc.) Processing systems (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.)Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair: PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred) Servo systems and VFDsProven ability to diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, and control systemsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyComfortable using computers and maintenance systems (CMMS experience a plus)Flexible to support shift work, weekends, and holidays as neededPhysically capable of working in an industrial environment, including frequent reaching (31–77 inches)Physical DemandsRegularly lift and/or move up to 25 poundsFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsRegularly stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawlAbility to reach and handle objects, tools, or controlsCorporate Summary: At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first – our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
