Electromechanical TechnicianAssembly Team | Peoria, IL | Full-Time | First ShiftPay: $27 – $30 per hourReports To: Assembly Team SupervisorIf you want to build the equipment and systems behind life-saving medicine manufacturing around the world, keep reading. You'll find real variety — much of what we make is custom — plus the chance to build a broad skillset, a flexible environment, and a supportive team.Rheo Engineering builds custom powder handling equipment used to manufacture life-saving medicine, and our Assembly Team turns Engineering's blueprints into finished, working systems. As an Electromechanical Technician I, you're fully trusted with mechanical and hydraulic assembly, growing into pneumatic and electrical work, and occasionally on-site with customers on select projects.What You'll DoAssemble custom products and systems by following blueprints provided by the Engineering teamPerform mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic assemblyPerform installation, testing, and repair of industrial mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment used on Rheo projectsRead and interpret product and project documentation, including safety rules, operator's manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsCollaborate with the Engineering and Fabrication teams to ensure accuracy of the final workpieceProvide design input to Engineering from an assembly/operator perspectivePerform and record routine maintenance on machine tools and equipmentReview all parts for an assembly and confirm accuracy against the general assembly drawingProvide occasional on-site support for customers during installs, warranty claims, and repairsOccasionally apply surface finishes using pneumatic polishing toolsOccasionally clean products post-assembly and/or testingWhat We're Looking ForExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDProven work experience assembling or maintaining custom mechanical projects or products from blueprintsProven experience safely working with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and simple machine toolsSoftwareFamiliarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (Epicor Kinetic preferred)TraitsSuperb Communication — you get your ideas, instructions, and points across clearly and naturallyDetail-Orientation — high attention to detail and highly organizedExtreme Ownership — you see a project through from beginning to end, no matter the obstacleTeam Spirit — your presence makes the team better and happierSelf-Starter — you don't wait to be told what to do; you get what you need to get things doneValues AlignmentInitiative: instinct for taking action to improve, solve, and deliver.Collaboration: proactive communication with your stakeholders.Competence: ability to do your job well.Reliability: persistent follow-through on commitments.Bold Humility: courage to speak, act, and listen without arrogance.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree or certification as a Mechanic, Industrial Electrical Technician, or related technical fieldWhy Rheo?Steady work in a stable industry — the equipment you build helps make life-saving medicine, and that work doesn't dry upAll first shift, with flexible start and end times and the option to frontload your hoursA small shop with low turnover where you're a name, not a numberReal variety — custom work, not the same part over and overBenefitsLeading medical insurance — consistently low rates compared to other businesses in the areaHealth Savings Account with employer contributions (plan-dependent)Dental, vision, and life insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityIdentity theft insurance401(k) with 4% employer matchGenerous PTOPaid paternity and maternity leavePaid cell phone plan with stipend for a new phone every 2 yearsEmployee referral programWorking ConditionsThis is a shop-floor position.
