About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler to join a fast-paced electronics operation in Sugar Land, TX. In this hands-on position, you will assemble, solder, wire, test, and troubleshoot electronic components and printed circuit boards while maintaining IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with excellent soldering skills, strong attention to detail, and experience reading electronic schematics.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble electronic components and printed circuit boards according to schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Perform through-hole and surface-mount soldering, including fine-pitch work.
Complete wire bonding, cable harness assembly, crimping, and connector installation.
Inspect component placement, polarity, wiring, and solder-joint quality.
Use multimeters and oscilloscopes to test assemblies and identify electronic faults.
Troubleshoot and rework defective assemblies through de-soldering, component replacement, and wiring corrections.
Document assembly activities, test results, and completed rework.
Follow safety requirements and ESD-safe handling procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Collaborate with engineers and production team members to resolve assembly issues.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience as an Electronic Assembler, PCB Assembler, or similar role.
Strong through-hole and surface-mount soldering skills.
Experience working with printed circuit boards and electronic components.
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
Experience using multimeters and oscilloscopes for basic testing and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet production schedules.
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
IPC-A-610 certification or formal electronics assembly training.
Technical certificate or vocational training in electronics or electrical assembly.
Experience with cable harnesses, crimping, and connector installation.
Familiarity with low-volume, high-mix production or prototype builds.
Experience working in an ISO-certified or quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge of root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
