Job description

Electro-Mechanical Assembly TechnicianThis role involves assembling small to medium electro-mechanical products in a cleanroom and ESD-protected environment while following detailed digital work instructions. You will perform high-repetition production work, handle delicate electronic components, and use hand and power tools to build quality products safely and accurately. The position starts as a fully contingent role through Q1 with the potential to convert to a contract-to-hire opportunity if business demand continues to grow.ResponsibilitiesAssemble small to medium-sized electro-mechanical assemblies according to detailed digital work instructions.Perform electronic assembly tasks while following established quality and safety procedures.Complete high-repetition production work, building small batches of the same or similar products with build times ranging from minutes to hours.Work under magnification tools, including a 40X microscope, to assemble and inspect very small mechanical parts and delicate electronics.Load firmware onto circuit boards as part of the assembly process.Handle and install very small mechanical components and sensitive electronic parts with care to prevent damage.Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during mechanical and electronic assembly tasks.Follow written assembly, quality, and safety procedures consistently in an ESD-protected and cleanroom environment.Clearly and legibly complete all required written documentation related to production, quality, and process tracking.Utilize computers to access and follow digital work instructions and production documentation.Lift and transport components and materials weighing up to 30 pounds as needed for production activities.Essential SkillsDemonstrated experience in small parts assembly, with strong manual dexterity for handling tiny mechanical and electronic components.Experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly within a production or manufacturing environment.Proficiency using hand and power tools for assembly tasks.Ability to follow detailed digital work instructions and utilize computers confidently.Good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality builds.Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds safely.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and motivation to work as a cooperative team player.Comfort working in an ESD-protected area and cleanroom production floor.Ability to work swing or day shift schedules with occasional additional hours as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsSoldering experience in an electronic assembly environment.Previous experience working in an ESD-protected environment.Experience using magnification tools, including microscopes, for detailed assembly or inspection.Familiarity with LED ultra-violet light environments, including UVA, UVB, UVC, and NIR.Exposure to cleanroom production floors, particularly Class 10,000 environments.Comfort working with wiring, electronics, and blueprint or schematic-based assembly instructions.Why Work Here?You will join a stable organization that offers competitive pay and the opportunity to transition from a contingent role to a direct position if business demand continues to grow. The facility utilizes LED ultra-violet lighting, including UVA, UVB, UVC, and NIR, as part of its processes. The company provides smocks, hairnets, gloves, and ESD shoes to maintain proper cleanliness and electrostatic protection. Work involves the use of hand and power tools, magnification tools, and a 40X microscope for detailed assembly tasks, as well as regular computer use for digital work instructions. Available schedules include a swing shift from Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and a day shift from Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional additional hours as needed to support production demands.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, OR.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
