Job description
Sub Assembly TechnicianThis role focuses on the precise assembly of sub-components used in medical lighting devices. You will work with small parts, follow detailed work orders and drawings, and use measurement tools to ensure accuracy. The position requires strong finger dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and write in English, along with a willingness to learn new processes and operate basic machinery.ResponsibilitiesAssemble medical device sub-components, including turret assemblies, spring adapters, and pad-printed sheet metal parts with a high degree of precision.Read and understand work orders, drawings, and assembly documentation to complete tasks correctly and on time.Use measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, rulers, and other precise instruments to verify component dimensions and tolerances.Work with small components that require strong manual dexterity, fine motor coordination, and sustained focus.Handle hand tools and basic production tools to perform assembly, wiring, and related tasks as needed.Perform repetitive assembly tasks with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.Essential SkillsStrong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks.Excellent fine motor coordination, particularly in fingers and thumbs, for handling very small components.Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hands in an assembly and production environment.Ability to read and understand work orders, drawings, and assembly documentation.Ability to read a tape measure and use precise measurement tools such as calipers and rulers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in medical device assembly or production is strongly preferred.Background in assembly, blueprint reading, wiring, and use of hand tools is a plus.Experience working in cleanroom, lab, or controlled manufacturing environments is beneficial.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a structured review and growth process, including a 90-day review with potential raise and annual performance reviews that offer ongoing pay progression. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
