Electronics Assembler II Or IIICrane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Assembler II or III at our Lynnwood, WA location.Hours are Monday - Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM or 2:30PM-11:00PMCrane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Job Summary:The Assembler III – Electronics works proficiently and independently with limited supervisor performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions. In addition, the Assembler III – Electronics communicates with the manufacturing team and performs visual and dimensional inspection.Essential Functions:Perform assigned assembly tasksPrepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assembliesDemonstrate proficiency in performing established operations within 4-7 area processesSet up and operate assigned equipment and machineryObserve proper health and safety procedures in handling hazardous chemicalsTrain and mentor new employees and other team members in new processes, procedures and Crane toolsPrioritize daily demand per Master Schedule Report for the cell(s) they are working inDiscuss and problem solve quality issues with Manufacturing Engineers, the Quality group, and leadershipCreate IT, Facilities work orders, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality and material issues. and First Article Inspection's (FAIs) at "In process/End Item" as well as other assorted assembly functionsParticipate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvementPractice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy; Proactively identify safety concerns or issues and work with the Engineering group to implement solutionsComplete job-related company training coursesSupport Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI's, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they ariseFlexible and willing to work overtime if necessarySupport engineering related buildsHold a current IPC Solder Rework CertificationRepair and Rework defective or returned assembliesAbility to ensure all paperwork is completed appropriately and close work ordersAssist in determining the sequence of operations and installation requirements from drawings and oral instructionsAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementNon-Essential Functions:Understand and/or participate with internal/external auditsPerform inventory cycle countsMay be required to repair/rework defective or returned assembliesMinimum Qualifications:Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a related field or equivalent trainingKnowledge: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodsSkills: Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Proficient in operating software tools (ie.
