Job description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based environment near Colorado Springs, CO. This assignment runs from July 27, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a consistent commitment of 37.5 hours per week. With a daily schedule beginning around 7:30 a.m. and wrapping up by approximately 3:30 p.m.-varying by campus-you'll engage directly with preschool and elementary students, making a significant impact on their communication skills during their formative years.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active state SLP license and certification required
Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children strongly preferred
Solid foundation in school-based SLP services, including assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Dedicated, organized, and adaptable to school schedules and diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct therapy and intervention to preschool and elementary students with speech, language, and communication disorders
Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress according to school and regulatory standards
Partner closely with educators and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment
Communicate proactively with families about student progress and strategies for home support
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the overall development of service plans
