Job description
Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, making an immediate impact across two elementary buildings. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with educators and support staff to deliver tailored speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 50-55 students. The majority of your work will focus on helping elementary-age children-including those in general education and those with Autism Spectrum needs-reach their fullest potential in communication and academic success.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Providing direct and consultative therapy services within classroom and pull-out settings
Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families for student-centered planning
Managing a diverse caseload that spans both regular education and students needing autistic support
Fulfilling case management responsibilities such as progress monitoring, documentation, and compliance tasks
Participating in team meetings to support student growth and contribute to school initiatives
Required qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Active state licensure as an SLP or eligibility to obtain prior to start
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) welcomed but not required (CFY candidates encouraged)
Experience with school-based speech-language therapy, especially in pediatric and elementary populations
Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance standards
Ability to manage a multifaceted caseload and effectively prioritize responsibilities
Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00am-3:30pm, working 35 hours per week through May 27, 2027, with the opportunity for renewal.
