Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum coverage. This facility is a Level III Trauma Center managing approximately 50,000 annual ED visits.
Facility and Department Details
33-bed Emergency Department with 3 trauma bays
37 hours/day physician coverage and 36 hours/day NP/PA coverage
Scribe support provided
Advanced trauma capabilities and 13 cardiac-monitor beds
Responsibilities
Management of 50,000 annual ED visits
Supervision of scribe support
Performing moderate sedation
Utilizing specialty care rooms for ENT, Orthopedics, and GYN cases
Required Qualifications
Active unrestricted IN Medical License
IN State Controlled Substance registration
DEA with IN address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4
Board Certified - ABEM/AOBEM or ABMS-recognized specialty with 5 years continuous full-time high-volume ED experience
EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered
IM with five years continuous full-time experience in high-volume (>30,000 visits/year) ED
BLS certification
Immunizations: Flu, TB (past 12 months), and COVID
Documentation of case logs for the past 2 years
Completed CME Attestation Form during application
Preferred Qualifications
Fellowship training
Academic Medical Center experience
Specialty care rooms available for ENT, Orthopedics, GYN, and more
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a high-volume setting
Perform Moderate Sedation and other facility-specific procedures
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of NP/PA and support staff
